If Music be the food of Love…..

“If music be the food of love, play on” is, as everyone knows, a quote from Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Scene 1, Act one. For those purists amongst you, the full quote spoken by Duke Orsino is: “If music be the food of love, play on, give me excess of it; that surfeiting, the appetite may sicken, and so die”.

Why am I wittering on about Shakespear? It wasn’t Shakespear so much as the quote itself. It got me thinking about how music forms an integral part of Purple Conversations everyday life.
