
We are very happy to bring another one of our fabulous artists to our Art Corner for you to discover.
This time we would like to introduce you to Mary Stubberfield who is famous for her Cat paintings.

Mary grew up on the South Coast and studied illustration at Bournemouth Arts University. After moving to London to exhibit her paintings from her travels in Europe and India, starting at Zebra One Gallery in Hampstead.
Mary held several solo exhibitions around London and also in mixed shows at the Mall Galleries, where she won the Art for Youth prize in 1994.
Since moving back to the Sussex coast she has worked hard building up a large body of work inspired by coastal landscapes and cats. She is a member of the Society of Feline Artists.
Mary also lived on a Greek island where she painted the landscapes en plein ait and showed her work in local galleries. Strong Mediterranean sunlight has continued to inspire her works, which are held in collections worldwide.

Mary’s work is currently licensed by Museum and Galleries, Natural Partners, Otter House, Design House, Woodmansterne, Wentworth Puzzles, and Galison.

Her painting Autum River was recently selected for the finals in the British Art Prize.
